The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) won an award for Best Event at the 7th Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) Excellence awards held on Friday, 6th April 2018 at the Kampala Sheraton hotel. The event for which the award was won is the 4th Africa Congress of Accountants (ACOA), held from 2-5 May at Speke Resort, Munyonyo in Uganda.
The annual PRAU Excellence Awards that bring together different entities from the private and public sector, and the not-for-profit agencies in Uganda are aimed at celebrating the achievements and innovations organisations have made in the public relations and communications field.
Receiving the award, CPA Simon Peter Oola, the Governance and Relations Manager of ICPAU extended his gratitude to the sponsors of the ACOA. He said that, if it had not been for the partners/sponsors, the 4th ACOA wouldn’t have been as memorable to even win an award. He further thanked the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA) for granting ICPAU the opportunity to host the event.
